House Concerts at No. 77 launch November 21!

Announcing our House Concerts at No. 77 series, where you experience music in the coziest setting: our living room!

Concerts at No. 77

Join us for the first (of what will hopefully be many!) House Concert at No. 77, featuring the local London talents of Tora Klassen (soprano), Simona Genga (mezzo-soprano), and Samantha Lee (piano).

Classical music has unfairly earned the reputation of being stodgy, boring, and elitist. We are here to prove that classical music is anything but. In fact, we’re taking classical music back to its roots in the family living room, where friends wrote and performed music for one another as the most intimate and interactive form of entertainment.

On November 21, we will perform for you some of our favourite art songs and opera arias. We’ll even wager you’ve heard some of them before. And even though we’ll be singing in French, German, and Italian, don’t fear! As musicians, we have to learn the music from the inside out, and we’ll share with you what we’ve learned on that journey. We hope you’ll come to appreciate, and maybe even love, this music as much as we do.

Tora, Simona, and Sam will perform works by Joseph Marx, Francis Poulenc, Johannes Brahms, William Bolcom, and Samuel Barber. You may even be surprised by some musical theatre!

There will be lots of time for you to ask questions and interact with us and the music. And, there will be drinks and snacks!

Curl up on our couch, and sit in front of our fire. Come and get personal with the music, and with the artists creating it. RSVP now to reserve your seat.
